Egg Donation and Surrogacy: Ontario | Extraordinary Conceptions
We’re here to lend a helping hand to Canada’s intended parents, egg donors and surrogates.
Surrogacy and Egg Donation: Ontario
When we founded Extraordinary Conceptions in 2005, it was with the mission to help intended parents across North America build their families. In the 15 years since then, we’ve watched numerous couples see their dreams of parenthood become reality in both Canada and the US, where we are based.
After years of assisting others with family building, egg donation, and surrogacy in Ontario, we felt it was time to open a Canadian-specific location. That’s why last year, we were thrilled to open our first Canadian centre in Toronto. This way, everything is local: surrogates and intended parents can meet us and each other right here at our North York office.
Our cozy Toronto clinic has everything you need to begin your personal journey. Our local team is here to meet one-on-one, offer support, and help you navigate each step of your process, whether you’re an intended parent, egg donor, or surrogate.
Whether we’re operating out of our California headquarters, here in Toronto, or anywhere else in North America, the Extraordinary Conceptions standards remain the same. We work exclusively with top IVF clinics and doctors across the continent, and are happy to put you in contact with local reproductive or family lawyers who we trust. After all, we’ve been in the business for a long time: we know the right people.
Egg Donation and Surrogacy in Ontario: Information for Intended Parents
The truth is, it doesn’t always take two. For some parents, building a family needs a few helping hands. That’s where our team at Extraordinary Conceptions comes in— we’ll reach out and guide you through your journey to parenthood.
If you are hoping for a surrogate and/or egg donor to help bring a little one into your world, the process may seem a bit overwhelming. That’s okay! Our Toronto centre is a great place to start. Here, you can work with our team, find your ideal surrogate or donor match, and have access to reputable local family and reproduction lawyers. The end result from all of these helping hands will be a bundle of joy in your arms.
We offer the following services to our intended parents:
- A database of over 3,600 egg donors
This expansive database is available for viewing as soon as you complete an intending parent application.
- Assistance in multiple languages
Toronto is home to over 200 ethnicities and 140 languages— it goes without saying that many of our intended parents in Toronto speak something other than English or French! That’s why we have a multilingual team— to ensure that our intended parents can communicate their needs to us.
- Gestational surrogates
Please note that, though gestational surrogacy options are possible only where applicable/legal, that includes Canada!
- S.A.F.E program
A Single Agency Fee Experience, or SAFE, is a way of protecting our intended parents’ investment into their family. This means that, if you have completed a surrogacy cycle or egg donation that was not successful, your work with us isn’t finished. You are entitled to keep trying with another donor or surrogate— and there won’t be any additional costs to do so. (*Some restrictions may apply.)
- STRESS-FREE program
For your peace of mind, Extraordinary Conceptions automatically enrolls every intended parent into this program. The STRESS-FREE program allows intended parents to hold off on paying full funds or signing anything like agency documents until your donor and/or surrogate has been approved by the IVF clinic.
- Onsite specialists and services
This journey is bound to be a unique time for you, and you may require certain services. Some intended parents, for example, prefer to see a marriage & family therapist during this period— we have a licensed counselor waiting to with you. Our team also includes an on-site insurance specialist, a notary, and a travel department. If it’s a necessity for a successful surrogacy or egg donation, we’ve got it.
Receiving an Egg Donation in Ontario
Choosing an egg donor is a very personal choice for all intended parents. Our online database has over 3,600 egg donors from across the world, and with as many ethnicities as possible represented.
Once you register to be intended parents, you are invited to access this database— no strings attached. This allows you to view your options on your own time and in your own space, which enables you to give this decision the attention it deserves. However, we’re right here when you need us, either over the phone or at our Toronto clinic.
Whoever you choose as an egg donor, our team will be with you every step of the way. Our Ontario coordinators will ensure you understand the egg donation procedure (which is quite similar to IVF,) as well as help you navigate the ins and outs of the process.
